Enco Global Testing Services Limited is a newly formed company, but has long standing and respected roots in the textile industry; initially as the environmental arm of the International Wool Secretariat and latterly as the environmental testing and consultancy division of the Confederation of British Wool Textiles, known throughout the industry as ENco.

EGTS has recently relocated to a purpose built facility in Yorkshire and will continue to provide  environmental testing and  consultancy to its existing and valued global customer base. EGTS will also provide a similar service to customers in associated industries and in other spheres, where there is a requirement for environmental testing of products, byproducts and waste streams. As a company with its roots in industrial processing Enco Global Testing Services’s advisors and technologists work to provide practical advice covering legislative compliance, cost effective safety and environmental management and process optimisation.

Our work is based on more than two decade’s experience of solving cost, production and legislative issues with a full appreciation of the commercial realities faced by manufacturing companies in the textile and other industries.

These activities are supported by our in-house environmental analysis and textile testing laboratory and are available to both members of the EGTS Environmental Network and non – members on an individual or contract basis.
EGTS offer a wide range of testing services and technical consultancy, including;

  • Mothproofing testing (insect resist) of textile and other substrates, including process liquors and effluents.
  • Pesticide analysis of wool
  • Analysis of Wastes, Effluents and Process Chemicals
  • Noise Risk Assessments
  • Guidance with environmental legislation and regulation
